Loudoun Soccer Rules Pre-Season Tournaments

The Loudoun Magic congratulates her sister teams, the Freedom and Tornadoes, on their successful pre-season tournament runs.

The Freedom were the Finalists in the Premier bracket of the Dulles National Preseason Tournament, then traveled to Philadelphia over Labor Day to compete in the Ross-Haney Tournament, from which they returned as Champions.

The Tornadoes went 3-0 in the Washington Fall Classic Tournament in Maryland, only to be knocked out of the tournament on bonus points. Over Labor Day, the Tornadoes traveled to Williamsburg to compete in the Williamsburg Cup, bringing home the Championship of the Premier Division.

The Magic, Freedom, and Tornadoes all compete for Loudoun Soccer Club, so when one team wins, we all win. The three teams combined to post a 16-1 record, with three Championships and one runner-up finish.

Congrats to Tornadoes and Freedom players and coaches, and best of luck to our sister teams in the upcoming ODSL season.

Team Dinner Thursday July 28th

Peggy Steadman (Mom to Janna) Writes:

Hi Magic Parents,

I am the entertainment coodinator for Loudoun Magic. Ed has asked me to put together an informal dinner this week so that the girls can sign their player cards. If you can't make it, please contact Ed to see when you can have your daughter sign her card.

The dinner is planned for Thursday, July 28th, 6:30pm at the Red Robin in Sterling. It's on the road that runs around the Dulles Town Center Mall.

Plans are in the works for some kind of get together with all three travel teams. I'll let you know when I find out more information.

During the year, I'll be planning some informal get togethers. My ideas are low stress, low cost and fun (I hope). Just a chance for the girls to do a little something together besides soccer. I'll be shooting for something every other month. I'm thinking of things like bowling, skating, a pizza night and I'll be checking the LYSA website for events. If you have any ideas, let me know.

Please advise (yes or no) if you can make it on Thursday and how many people. I will try calling later in the week to see if they will take a reservation..if not, I'll just warn them that we're coming.

(Lori....if you can't make it, let either Ed or I know and we can get the player cards from you. Timing this week is flexible for me..if you're going to be in Leesburg I can meet you.)

Hope to see you then.
